Join us for a special screening for the closing weekend of Mountain / Time.
The LA Skins Fest—an annual festival that celebrates Native American filmmaking—is partnering with Aspen Art Museum to showcase a series of engaging short films that focus on Ute Mountain Ute Tribes’ (UMUT) tribal resilience.
These films will highlight culture, shared values, a strong sense of identity, and contemporary tribal struggles facing the indigenous community.
Since 2018, the LA Skins Fest partnered with UMUT and has held the Native Youth Film Workshop designed to teach acting, writing, directing, camera operation, and video editing. It intends to teach youth how to produce digital videos with a logical storyline and professional appearance. To learn more about the multimedia program, please email contact@laskinsfest.com.
