Artist Matt Copson, with composer Oliver Leith, will present a multi-sensory installation within the caves of Aspen’s storied Smuggler Mine. Celebrated for his virtuosic laser animations, innovative theater works and his 2022 opera Last Days made also in collaboration with Leith, Copson will develop a site-specific, immersive environment that draws from the mine’s organic and built architectures to create a singular audiovisual world.
Join us from 12-4 PM as we invite small groups at a time to fully immerse themselves in this multi-sensory installation. With a free-flow, first-come-first-served entrance, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the installation at your own pace. Secure your spot now!
Additionally, please be advised of the following:
-Installation on view will have free-flow, first-come-first-served order.
-Closed-toe shoes are required.
-Guests over 5'2" will be required to duck at times while inside the mine.
-Climbing short stairways with a single handrail is required inside the mine.
-Limited parking is available.
-We encourage guests to wear warm layers as it can be chilly inside the mine.
