Aspen Art Museum

The AAM will be hosting film nights throughout the summer. Join us on the rooftop for a variety of films and fun with a lovely mountain backdrop!

Saturday, June 13th: 8 – 9:30 pm, Disability Film Festival
Presented in partnership with Western Colorado University’s Communication Arts/Film and Education Departments.

Opening remarks will be presented by Dr. Tara Mason, Assistant Professor of Inclusive Education, and Jack Lucido, Professor of Communication Arts, Director of Film Studies and Chair of CALL Department.

Doors open at 7:30 pm.

About the DisAbility Film Festival:
Our mission is to raise awareness of the triumphs within inclusive education. We believe there are issues related to social justice & lack of educational opportunity for students served in special education. We want to explore creative pedagogy that serves students within inclusive classroom environments using film as a launchpad for discussion, advocacy and change in special education.


Saturday, July 3rd: 7 – 9 pm, The Sandlot
Join us on the rooftop for a screening of The Sandlot, a baseball-inspired photo station, an art-making experience, and refreshments. It will be fun for the entire family!


Saturday, August 21th: 6:30 – 9 pm, Moonrise Kingdom
Celebrate summer on the rooftop with a screening of Moonrise Kingdom, adventure-themed activities, and refreshments.
