Serenity Art series is presented in partnership with Aspen Tibet and is dedicated to cultivating a sense of community through a diverse range of guided programs. Join us as we delve into the realms of art, meditation, compassion, and peace under the guidance of Tibetan Buddhist monks from the esteemed Gaden Shartse Monastery.
From August 28–September 1, 2024, Tibetan Buddhist monks from Gaden Shartse Monastery will construct a temporary sand mandala on the rooftop of the Aspen Art Museum as part of their annual visit to Aspen.
Join us for the Sand Mandala Opening Ceremony on Wednesday, August 28 at 3:00 PM, participate in a family-friendly Tibetan Calligraphy workshop on Saturday, August 31 at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, or join our Guided Awakening Meditation on Sunday, September 1 at 7:00 AM.
On Sunday, September 1, join us for our closing ceremony as the monks dismantle the mandala and release the sand into the Roaring Fork river, blessing the Roaring Fork Valley.
