These community workshops provide playful art exploration for young audiences with their parents or caregivers. The Levels 0–2 and 3–5 Years are offered free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.

This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

Thomas Phifer is the Founder and Director of Thomas Phifer and Partners. The firm’s work includes the new Corning Museum of Glass, the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh, and the Brochstein Pavilion at Rice University in Houston. Phifer has received the Medal of Honor from the New York Chapter of the AIA, the Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome, and, in 2013, the Architecture Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

Join us on Level 3 for a special reception to launch the book Eli and Mort’s Epic Adventures Aspen Snowmass. The publishers and local youth illustrators of the book will be available to sign copies and celebrate with a reception.
