Let’s build! Using a variety of techniques and materials, we will discover the magic of model making by creating mockups and fabricating and replicating our own reproductions of large-scale buildings, items, and art. Through our compacted designs, we’ll learn about the complexities and focus needed to become a pro model maker.
Experiment with “popular opposites,” using contrast as a catalyst for art and design in this zany Workshop. Unlikely combinations collide on a variety of surfaces, creating unexpected mixed media works. We will show off our compositions at an art show for family and friends at the end of the week.

In this collaborative Workshop with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, we will discover the beauty of the natural environment. We will use different mediums to capture what we see and find together—including watercolors, instant film, and drawing—and to create art just as beautiful as the area around us.
