Philippe Vergne is the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and has previously served as Director of the Dia Art Foundation, Deputy Director and Chief Curator at the Walker Art Center, Director of the François Pinault Foundation in Paris, and Director of the Musée d’art Contemporain (MAC) in Marseille. Vergne was the co-curator of Yves Klein: With the Void, Full Powers in 2010, the most extensive retrospective of the artist’s work in the United States since 1982, co-organized by the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden and the Walker Art Center.
