This monthlong program for kids at the K–4 grade level is held weekly at the Aspen Art Museum. Taking place on December 3, 10, 17 from 2:30–4 p.m., these workshops recognize the value of exposing children to the arts at an early age and uses the artist’s process as an educational tool.
In 2000, Odd Klev cofounded the international architecture office a-lab in Oslo, Norway. Since its inception, a-lab has been recognized for their sustainable and innovative range of projects from residential projects to cultural centers and museums to complex urban master plans. Klev will discuss the close relationship between architecture and art, particularly the projects in which the firm has utilized art as part of the conceptualization phase or final display.

Join us on Friday, December 19, at 6 p.m., for the opening reception and a free public walkthrough of Gabriel Kuri’s Gabriela and Ramiro Garza Distinguished Artist in Residence exhibition, with the artist and AAM Nancy and Bob Magoon CEO and Director Heidi Zuckerman. The evening will also feature the opening of Marcel Broodthaers’s exhibition Décor: A Conquest—an intricate installation exploring the relationship between conflict and comfort, and examining the complex relationship between weapons and objects as symbols of power.
All ages are invited to celebrate the 12 Days of Aspen festival in this free art-making holiday-themed workshop led by Aspen Art Museum educators.
