Following an ever-growing epidemic of zombies that have risen from the dead, two Philadelphia SWAT team members, a traffic reporter, and his television-executive girlfriend seek refuge in a secluded shopping mall.
The AAM tailors special visits and workshops for homeschool families and programs in the Roaring Fork Valley. Each workshop provides an opportunity for parents and children to learn about contemporary art while creating a work of art together as a family. Parents also learn techniques and skills for creating their own art experiences at home.
The AAM is celebrating the opening of Margaret Kilgallen’s that’s where the beauty is. (Gallery 1) and Nina Katchadourian’s Twitchers and Cheaters (Grand Stair) on Friday, January 11, beginning at 5:30 p.m., with a gallery walkthrough with Senior Curator Courtenay Finn! Join us for delicious snacks from SO Café, free wine and beer, music by DJ Tenza, and a complimentary art-making activity for all ages on Level 3.
Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.
