Story Art is a community outreach program presented in partnership with the Carbondale Branch Library and the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. This free program for elementary and middle school students provides playful exploration of storytelling through a group reading and art-making activity inspired by AAM exhibitions.
Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.
Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.
Classes are limited to fifteen participants. Prior registration strongly encouraged.
Madeline (Meryl Streep) and Helen (Goldie Hawn) are rivals, fighting for the affection of Ernest (Bruce Willis). After they each drink a magic potion to achieve ageless beauty, they find themselves as the undead, bound in an eternal, macabre battle.
The AAM tailors special visits and workshops for homeschool families and programs in the Roaring Fork Valley. Each workshop provides an opportunity for parents and children to learn about contemporary art while creating a work of art together as a family. Parents also learn techniques and skills for creating their own art experiences at home.
Elena Soboleva is the Director of Online Sales at David Zwirner. In this newly created position, she leads the programming, curation, and strategy for the gallery’s digital sales channels, which include over twenty online viewing rooms a year, in addition to twenty-five art-fair previews. Prior to joining David Zwirner, Soboleva was an early employee and Lead Curator at Artsy, where she oversaw the growth and scaling of collector initiatives and programming through online and offline channels.
Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.
Generously hosted by Nancy and Richard Rogers, the AAM Artist Party is the most exclusive event of winter 2019. Guests will enjoy an evening of glamorous cocktails, dinner, premium wines, dancing, and festivities.
