Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum Educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.
Join locals Lindsay Jones and Brian Colley of the Roaring Fork Drawing Club for an hour of guided drawing activities for all ages and abilities.
Local librarians will be in the galleries giving out library cards and book recommendations inspired by Abraham Cruzvillegas’s exhibition Hi, how are you, Gonzo? Only visiting Aspen? The library gives out both short-term and long-term cards that grant access to all the great facilities, resources, and events it provides to the community. Join AHS Choral and Vocal Music Director/IB Music Teacher Erica Nottingham with her talented students for open-mic musical performances and improvisations. Audience members will have the chance to try out musical instruments of their choice. All ages welcome!
