This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum Educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.
Aspen Words is participating in a community pop-up as part of Abraham Cruzvillegas’s exhibition Hi, how are you Gonzo?* The core of the exhibition is collaborative and educational, with various activations by community groups that are designed to generate an exchange of ideas.
Due to inclement weather this activation has been cancelled.
Join the AAM and the Carbondale Clay Center for a public activation of Abraham Cruzvillegas’s Hi, how are you, Gonzo? Participants are invited to interact with upcycled ceramic sculptures and functional pieces and participate in a body part building demonstration with premade clay body parts. Roaring Fork Brewing Company will also be providing local libations!

The faculty and students of Isaacson School at Colorado Mountain College are participating in an activation of Abraham Cruzvillegas’s Hi, how are you, Gonzo? at the Aspen Art Museum on Wednesday January 22 from 5 to 6 p.m. The interactive pieces will feature virtual reality sculpture stations, livestream projections brought into the space, and collaborative screen printing.

Join the AAM and Theater Masters for a theatrical workshop merging visual art, theater, and performance art. Participants will work together to create an original and engaging piece of live storytelling. Facilitated by Executive Artistic Director Daisy Walker, Producing Director Emily Zemba, and local teens from the Theater Masters Aspiring Playwrights Competition.
