On February 13, the AAM Shop will offer a curated floral experience for visitors to design their own bouquet while sipping complimentary bubbles. Shop for unique objects of desire in conjunction with our current presentation of Yayoi Kusama’s Where the Lights in My Heart Go, or peruse our beautiful selection of jewelry and handcrafted greetings.

So, why haven’t you heard of him? Find out next Thursday at our ALL THE LOVE Valentine’s Day celebration featuring the very special Movies at the Museum presentation of the documentary This is Love. Come at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-film musical performance by Mark Nussmeier and stay for a post-film Q+A with movie director John Alexander and producer JC Crew! Cash bar and cheese plates provided by SO café.

Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.
This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum Educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.
Join museums and universities across the country to edit, enhance, and add Wikipedia entries on female figures in the art world. Bring your laptop to Level 3 and receive tutorials from museum staff on the editorial process. Childcare and refreshments will be provided in this free, community-organized event that is presented in association with Art+Feminism’s international campaign to make Wikipedia more gender balanced.

Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Each month, museum Educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted living communities of Whitcomb Terrace in Aspen and Heritage Park in Carbondale, and also host art making in the museum’s Roof Deck Sculpture Garden with complimentary refreshments.
