    • Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

      Guided Tour

      Free, drop-in spotlight tours led by museum staff are offered every Wednesday and Saturday at 1 p.m.

    • This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum Educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.

    • Spring Break is a free, three-day program, in collaboration with the Aspen Youth Center, that offers middle school students in the Roaring Fork Valley the opportunity to spend their Spring Break looking at exhibitions, creating art, and enjoying each other’s company.

    • Spring Break in Rifle is a free program offered in collaboration with the Rifle Branch Library. Led by AAM Educators, the program includes learning about a contemporary artist, creating with new materials and techniques, a complimentary lunch, and a pop-up art show for family and friends.

    • Active Art invites seniors to engage in the social dimensions of art. Each month, AAM Educators bring free, memory-enhancing activities to the assisted- living communities of Whitcomb Terrace in Aspen and Heritage Park in Carbondale, and also host art making in the museum’s Roof Deck Sculpture Garden with complimentary refreshments.
