    • Please join us on Wednesday, December 2, at 10 AM MT, where Art Basel Miami Director Noah Horowitz will introduce this year’s digital edition of the fair. We will then visit five galleries, selected by the AAM, and introduced by art advisor and AAM National Council Member Mary Zlot. The directors of each gallery will lead us through a short highlights presentation of their virtual booth.

    • You’ve heard of pop-up books, but have you heard of book sculptures? Tune in every Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. (MT) during the month of December as AAM Educator Vanessa Porras teaches a four- part, step-by-step series on the many options in creating one! Materials are super-simple, all you really need is a little patience and copious amounts of creativity!

This activity is suited for those old enough to safely work with an X-acto style knife.

    • We are excited to present an Artist Conversation between Barbara Kasten and fellow artist Irena Haiduk (b. Belgrade, 1982, lives and works in New York) on December 10 at 4 p.m. in conjunction with this exhibition. In this live Zoom conversation, Kasten and Haiduk will discuss the role of the studio in their work, and the vital distinction between taking pictures and making images. Multiple facets of Kasten’s prolific career add dimensions to Haiduk’s understanding of the camera as a public place where everything lives and acts.
