The LA Skins Fest—an annual festival that celebrates Native American filmmaking—is partnering with Aspen Art Museum to showcase a series of engaging short films that focus on Ute Mountain Ute Tribes’ (UMUT) tribal resilience.

These films will highlight culture, shared values, a strong sense of identity, and contemporary tribal struggles facing the indigenous community.

Join DanceAspen’s in-house choreographers Matthew Gilmore and Kaya Wolsey at our Rooftop Café as they put their finishing touches on their new upcoming show. DanceAspen is preparing for two world premieres for their upcoming show New Horizons. This behind the scenes sneak peek will be on stage on September 23rd and 24th. Aspen Portfolio Review Day is an exciting opportunity for students, their families, and anyone interested in receiving individual portfolio reviews from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago faculty, staff, and alumni.

To mark the final weekend of the exhibition My Dear Mountains by Gaetano Pesce—one of the world’s most influential living artists and creative minds—Aspen Art Museum hosted an online talk by international curator and scholar Glenn Adamson, followed by an in-conversation between Pesce and taste-shifter consultant Jenna Fletcher. The event will be introduced by AAM Curator-at-Large Stella Bottai
