Story Art is a community outreach program presented in partnership with the Carbondale Branch Library and the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. This free program for elementary and middle school students provides playful exploration of storytelling through a group reading and art-making activity inspired by AAM exhibitions.

Drawing on the wealth of Spanish speakers in the Roaring Fork Valley, the museum presents an afternoon of activities for all ages, entirely in Spanish. Featuring guided tours, family art-making activities, and more, this special event is free and open to the public en Español.

This after-school program for kids in Grades K–4 is held most Wednesdays during the school year at the AAM. Museum Educators lead classes that include activities in the gallery and take-home projects.
Join us at the Aspen Art Museum to learn how to tune your own gear with Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club! Don’t forget to bring your own skis or snowboard and come ready to learn, mingle, and enjoy snacks and beverages from 5 to 6 p.m.
Monthly drop-in Family Workshops at the AAM are designed to provide children and adults free opportunities to explore the galleries and create works of art on their own. Families are encouraged to communicate, reflect, and produce as artists together.

The AAM is on-air! KDNK community radio Carbondale will be hosting an activation of Abraham Cruzvillegas’s Hi, how are you, Gonzo? tomorrow from 2 – 9 p.m., featuring live broadcast, music jams, dancing, an art-making activity, and more! This full day of programming is going to be a radio-based blast for all ages and experience levels!
